Back in Kansas. It was one heck of a drive but I am glad to be home.I got alot of knitting down on my shawl. I think 1 more skein of yarn will do it. It is looking pretty good now. I am using Yarn Bee Highland Thistle in tartan. I just love the way this yarn works up. I could have used a larger needle to give it a more open look though. I am using a 13 circular. That is 2 sizes larger than what is called for on the skein of yarn.

cindy's crafts

Well all ready to head home to Kansas. Outprocessed Ft Hood today. I should be on the road but have a roaring headache so am sitting in the hotel room 1 more day trying to get rid of it. Just relaxing and working on my shawl. I sure am loving this yarn. Now I have to figure out how big to make it. I will post pictures when I am back home and have my digital camera.

cindy's crafts

Had a very busy day at work. It seemed like everyone wanted to have a baby today. I was so glad to get home to my knitting. Knitting is so relaxing to me. I love how this shawl is coming out. I was going to give it away but may have to keep it for myself or make another one if I have enough of this yarn left.

cindy's crafts

well today I started the triangular shawl knit-along. I am using Yarn Bee Yarn, Highland thistle in tartan color. It is shades of blue and green with a touch of brown. I am loving it. It is very soft and just a little fuzzy. I am not liking the circular needles though. I am using size 13 circular. The connection keeps getting in my way. I guess that will change as my shawl gets bigger. The needle part is also short which is hard to get used too after only using long straight needles. But I will continue.

Posted by Picasa I love to crochet. I have doing that since my grandmother taught me as a child. Now I am just getting into knitting and am intriqued by it. I can't wait for the knitalong to start tomorrow. I have tried to teach my daughter these crafts but alas she is a lefty and we both get very frustrated. I have bought her a set of kniftyknitter looms. I hope she enjoys them.
